Fairness and Commitment: How Engagely Prevents Gaming
How we ensure task completions stay genuine: commitment terms, consequences for breaches, and what we do to keep the system fair for creators and users.
When you complete a task—such as following an account or liking a post—the value to the creator depends on that action staying in place. A follow that is removed the day after approval does not help growth. Engagely treats each approved task as a commitment for a defined period (typically 30 days) so that creators get durable engagement and payouts reflect real value.
- Task value depends on the action remaining in place after approval.
- We define a commitment period (e.g. 30 days) so outcomes are measurable and fair.
- Clear commitment terms protect both creators and users who follow the rules.
Gaming is when someone completes a task, submits proof, receives approval and payout, then removes or reverses the action (e.g. unfollows) while keeping the reward. That harms creators who paid for lasting engagement and undermines trust in the platform.
- Complete the task and submit proof, get approved and paid, then remove the action (e.g. unfollow).
- The user keeps the reward despite no longer fulfilling the task—creators get no lasting value.
- We treat this as a breach of commitment and enforce consequences to keep the system fair.
We have implemented several controls to reduce gaming and make commitment explicit.
- Commitment terms and conditions: a prominent panel on the user dashboard and a dedicated agreement page explain the commitment period and consequences of breaking it.
- Mandatory agreement before submission: users must accept the commitment terms before they can submit proof for any task; submission is blocked until acceptance is recorded.
- Consent validation: we store acceptance and validate it at submission time so that payouts only go to users who have agreed to the terms.
Breaking your commitment—for example, unfollowing before the commitment period ends—is a serious violation. We enforce consequences to protect creators and deter abuse.
- Financial penalties: we may claw back the reward for the affected task so that payouts reflect only genuine, maintained engagement.
- Account suspension: repeated or severe breaches can result in temporary or permanent account suspension.
- Future restrictions: users who breach commitment may face additional checks or limits on participation.
Our commitment framework gives you more stable, measurable outcomes.
- Engagement you pay for is expected to stay in place for the commitment period.
- Fewer fake or short-lived follows mean cleaner metrics and better ROI.
- Clear terms set user expectations and reduce disputes and support load.
Following the rules keeps your account in good standing and your earnings secure.
- Accept the commitment terms when prompted on your dashboard or before your first task submission.
- Keep your action (follow, like, subscribe, etc.) in place for the full commitment period after approval.
- Use your dashboard to stay aware of your standing; reach out to support if you have questions about a specific task or policy.
