Cross-role: Earning and Creating on One Account
You can have both earner and creator roles on a single account. Learn how to add the other role, switch between dashboards, and the rule that prevents completing tasks on your own campaigns.
Cross-role means your account has both the earner role (you can complete tasks and earn rewards) and the creator role (you can create campaigns and pay for completions). One login, one profile, two ways to use the platform.
- Earners complete tasks on campaigns and receive rewards; creators run campaigns and pay for verified completions.
- If you add the other role, you get a single dashboard with a "View as: Earner | Creator" switcher in the sidebar.
- Switching only changes which dashboard view and nav you see; your account and balance stay the same.
If you already have an account as an earner or creator, you can add the opposite role without creating a second account.
- Sign out (or use a private window). Go to Sign up and choose the role you don’t have yet—"Earn rewards" (Earner) or "Grow audience" (Creator).
- Enter the same email and password as your existing account and complete sign-up.
- We detect the existing account and add the new role, then sign you in. You’ll see the role switcher on your dashboard.
To keep rewards fair and prevent self-completion, we do not allow anyone to complete tasks on campaigns they created.
- When you browse campaigns as an earner, your own campaigns are excluded from the list so you never see them as tasks to complete.
- If you open one of your campaigns by link, you’ll see a notice that you cannot complete it and can use the Earner view to earn from other creators’ campaigns.
- Submitting proof for your own campaign is blocked by the system; only other earners can complete your campaign tasks.
When you have both roles, use the "View as" switcher in the dashboard sidebar to change context.
- Earner view: overview of your earnings, Browse Campaigns, Earnings, and rewards-related nav.
- Creator view: overview of your campaigns, Create Campaign, Billing, and creator-related nav.
- Your profile, security, and account settings are the same in both views; only the dashboard content and primary nav change.
