Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions from users, creators, and partners evaluating Engagely.

Getting Started

How do users earn?
Users complete approved social tasks (e.g. follow, like, subscribe), submit proof that meets campaign requirements, and receive rewards after successful verification. You must accept the commitment terms before submitting; rewards are tracked in your dashboard.
How do creators pay?
Creators deposit campaign budget upfront into their creator balance. Rewards are distributed only for approved task submissions, so you pay for verified completions. Funding and payouts are tracked with full transaction history.
Is this only for influencers?
No. The platform supports creators, brands, growth operators, and motivated users. Whether you run occasional campaigns or always-on growth programs, you can use Engagely to get measurable engagement.

Earnings & Payouts

How fast are payouts?
Payout timing depends on verification and processing windows. Once your submission is approved, the reward is credited to your balance. Transaction states (pending, completed, failed) are visible in your dashboard so you can track each payment.
What happens to rejected submissions?
Rejected submissions are excluded from payouts. Where available, reviewer notes or rejection reasons are provided so you can understand why and improve future proof. You may be able to submit again for the same campaign if the campaign allows it.
When can I get my money out?
Creators: your balance is used only to pay rewards for approved task completions; you can see full transaction history in your dashboard. Earners: once your submission is approved, the reward is credited to your balance; you can request a payout once you’ve added your payout details. See your Earnings page for payout status and how to withdraw.

Payments & Safety

Is it safe to deposit money?
Yes. Payments are securely processed by Stripe. Your deposit goes to your creator balance and is only used to pay rewards for approved task completions. You can see every transaction in your dashboard. We don’t use your funds for anything else. For more, see our Trust & Safety page.
How do I dispute a charge or get a refund?
Contact support with your account email and the transaction or submission reference. We review disputes according to our policies and will respond with an outcome or next steps. For refund eligibility, see our Terms of Service.

Trust & Fairness

What is the commitment period?
When you complete a task, we ask you to keep that action in place (e.g. keep the follow) for a defined period—typically 30 days—after approval. This ensures creators get durable engagement. You must accept the commitment terms before you can submit proof.
What happens if I unfollow or remove my action before the period ends?
Removing or reversing your action before the commitment period ends is a breach of our terms. Consequences can include clawback of the reward for that task, financial penalties, and in serious or repeated cases, account suspension. See our Fairness and Commitment article for full detail.
How is proof verified?
Submissions are reviewed against the campaign’s acceptance criteria. We use a combination of reviewer judgment and product controls to ensure proof matches the task. We are also building and expanding ongoing verification to confirm that engagement is maintained after approval.
What makes engagement real?
Task design, clear acceptance criteria, review workflows, and commitment terms all help maintain action quality. We enforce consequences for gaming (e.g. completing then reversing an action) so that payouts reflect genuine, lasting engagement.

Cross-role (Earner + Creator)

Can I be both an earner and a creator?
Yes. If you already have an account as an earner, you can add the creator role by signing up again with the same email and password and choosing "Grow audience" (Creator). We’ll add the Creator role to your account and you stay signed in. The same works in reverse: existing creators can add the earner role by signing up again and choosing "Earn rewards". You then get a single dashboard with a "View as: Earner | Creator" switcher so you can switch between earning and creating.
Can I complete tasks on my own campaigns?
No. If you have both roles, you cannot complete tasks on campaigns you created. When you browse campaigns as an earner, your own campaigns are hidden from the list. If you open one of your campaigns by link, you’ll see a notice that you cannot complete it. This keeps rewards fair and prevents self-completion. Use the Earner view to earn from other creators’ campaigns.

Campaigns & Account

How do I know campaign performance is improving?
Campaign dashboards expose completion counts, approval rates, spend, and activity signals. Use these to compare runs, adjust payout or copy, and iterate task design for stronger outcomes. See our Campaign Iteration Playbook for a structured approach.
Can teams use the platform?
Yes. Pro and Enterprise plans are suited for larger campaign volume and operational needs. Contact us or see Pricing for plan details and limits.
How do I dispute a rejection or account decision?
Use your normal support channel and include your account email plus any campaign or submission reference. We review disputes according to our policies and will respond with an outcome or next steps.
